Founder & President
Keith has built this company from the ground up, beginning with selling firewood at age fourteen before expanding to Barberton Tree Service Inc. A proud Alumni of the University of Akron, Keith was a top defensive player on the 1976 Zips team that made a Division II National Title run. A team that stands in the University Sports Hall of Fame to this day.
Keith prides himself in bringing the blue-collar work back to the City of Barberton, employing locals and attributing a lot of his success to the community; which is why he is known for giving back so much. He has accomplished his mission, turning BTS into a ‘Barberton brand’ run by Barberton people. It is often said that “Everybody knows somebody from Barberton”, and we like to maintain our professionalism to ensure that Barberton Tree Service is a part of that effort.
After graduating from Barberton High School in 1996, Lisa began her career at Barberton Tree Service, Inc. while attending the University of Akron for Business Management. She has been with BTS since she was 18, taught by old-school values and brought up though hard knock lessons. Throughout the years, Lisa has gained an abundance of knowledge and skills that lead her to her current position as Vice-President. After nearly 26 years in the tree care industry, and nearly 30 years in a professional setting, we believe her biggest attribute is her versatility. Lisa says, “My personal and professional endeavors this far in life are what continues to push me to the future.” Lisa enjoys volunteering in her free time to give back to the community with her daughter. Some of the organizations she has been a part of throughout the years are: Lake Anna YMCA as Chairman of the board; Barberton Parks and Recreation as a Commissioner; Crossroads Community Church as a nursery teacher; and has various other volunteer hours logged within Summit County and Medina County.
After cementing himself in Barberton lore as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever wear a Magic’s uniform, Bryan decided to be a part of Keith’s vision to grow Barberton Tree Service into what it has become today.
